Growing Your Business

Growing Your Business
Our Grow Your Business service begins with an initial meeting at which the company’s goals, challenges and aspirations are discussed. The report generated by this meeting will form the basis on which we will work together. There will be a series of six monthly sessions working with the owners/directors of the company to overcome the problems that are holding the business back and to focus on ways of taking the business forward to achieve the goals agreed at the beginning of the programme.
Any business that wishes to grow must first consider why they want to expand and what the issues will be. The owners must look at many facets of what they do including:
- People
- Market
- Finance/resources
- Admin/systems
A successful business will need to have well trained and experienced people undertaking each of the roles expected of them and this includes the directors. We will work with the owner of the business to review the people already involved with the business and any others who may be needed to join the company as a result of the expansion. Training and mentoring may also be needed.
Expansion can be achieved by taking an existing produce into an existing market so that the business has a greater market share. Alternatively, a new product or a new market can be explored. Choosing the right strategy is important. This will be different for each business and we can help to review which are the best options available.
For some, expansion will involve significant expense whilst others will find that time is the greatest requirement, visiting potential clients and talking about their needs. Finance and resources must be considered before a plan is auctioned or time and money can be lost. Together we can look at the options available and consider which will be best for any given scenario.
The administrations and systems which have served well for a smaller company may need refining to accommodate a larger business. If these changes are recognised and implemented before new business is gained, the transition will be smoother and both new and existing customers will not be inconvenienced by difficulties encountered.
Whatever the reason for wanting to grow a business, from the need to generate more income to cover losses to the utilisation of available capacity to the challenge of taking a business forward into the future, White Egret Limited will be able to offer experienced help and support.
